Liberalism Lost

The above is a quote from wikipedia. Think it over and ask yourself, does the "liberal party" in America represent this ideal in any way?

As stated in the Princess Bride, I do not think that word means what they think it means.

And how did this liberal party become so lost? The title of Ann Coulter's new book sums it in one word...they have become "Godless"

Whether we want to believe it or not, those western philosophers who formed the definition of liberalism were steeped in Christianity and built their philosophy on the doctrine of Jesus Christ.

This nation, built on the doctrine of liberalism has flourished. To return the Democratic Party to respectability, every "liberal" would do well to study what that word really means and where it's concepts stem from. America needs liberalism, but a Godless people can never be a liberal people it's a natural impossibility.
